Nintendo have confirmed that the latest instalment in the hugely successful Zelda franchise, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, will be released across Europe exclusively on the Wii on November 18th, little under two months from now. This will also follow the re-release of Twilight Princess at a lower price point on September 16th, as part of the Nintendo Selects programme.
As 2011 marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of Zelda, Nintendo will also be releasing the Game Boy Advance version of Zelda: Four Swords on DSiWare as a free download sometime in the month of September. This will make the game available on DSi, DSi XL, and the Nintendo 3DS. Including the Ocarina of Time remake on 3DS, this will make Skyward Sword the fourth Zelda release this year.
