Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium Online, the MMO currently being developed by Vigil Games and Relic Entertainment for a release in 2014, has a shaky future ahead of it. Rumours that it had already been cancelled were dispelled by an inside source at Relic last month, and then corroborated by THQ, but the fiscally fragile publisher is now asking for assistance bringing the game to market.

“Because of the large financial commitment and associated risks, we are being realistic about our resources and we are actively seeking a partner for this compelling new MMO,” THQ’s CEO, Brian Farrell, told investors last week, according to games media giant Gamastura. “We will keep you updated on our progress.”
