Sixense and Valve are bringing PlayStation Move support to the single- and multi-player campaigns of Portal 2, Sony confirmed on their blog today, as well as a piece of downloadable content that introduces new test chambers specifically designed with motion control in mind. The update and DLC will be brought out on November 6th in North America to coincide with the launch of Portal 2 as a downloadable PlayStation Network title.
According to the announcement post, the downloadable content introduces new gameplay mechanics such as “scaling and rotation of objects as well as portal surfing” while “the player progresses through an increasingly challenging set of test chambers that look familiar from Portal 2, but require new thinking to solve”. The DLC will retail for $9.99 USD in the States, with international pricing on the way.
There doesn’t appear to yet be an international release date for the DLC, but expect an announcement to follow very soon – it wouldn’t make sense to drag out the European launch. You can also check out some screenshots from the new DLC below.
