Konami have released four new screenshots from the upcoming Silent Hill HD Collection, which includes the second and third games in the Silent Hill franchise, remastered in 720p high definition for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and scheduled for release sometime this year. While a release date has yet to be confirmed, it is expected to tie in with the release of Silent Hill: Downpour in October.
This edition of Silent Hill 2, titled Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams, includes Maria’s side scenario “Born From a Wish”, and is marketed as the definitive version of the game. Pretty excited about this. My local Gamestop has the release date as Dec.2. But they had Downpour as Oct. 4 until a week before October 4,lol, now it’s Jan 2 2012. Who even knows?! I hope this isn’t the case with the HD collection…I’m almost looking more forward to it than Downpour..it’s definitely a close race.
