Konami have confirmed that patches are on their way to both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for Silent Hill: Downpour and the Silent Hill HD Collection, both of which have a number of widely reported bugs. The patches are “currently in development and will be released soon”, the official statement reads, giving a rough release window of “the coming weeks”.

“Understanding the issues some users are experiencing, development teams are currently creating online patches for both games, which will fix the frame rate issues, the audio-synching in Silent Hill HD Collection, and the Auto-Save issues in Silent Hill Downpour.”

Our own Jorge S. Fernandez gave Silent Hill: Downpour a review score of 47%, citing its uninteresting enemy designs, clunky controls, and combat mechanics. You can read that review here, and read more about Silent Hill: Downpour here.
