If you chose the Wild Wasteland trait when creating your character in the recently released Fallout: New Vegas, you’ll have noticed a bunch of weird and wacky references and cameos, some related to the previous Fallout games. This particular cameo, however, references the most recent Indiana Jones film in which the eponymous hero survives a test nuclear blast by hiding in a lead-lined refrigerator.

Minutes after leaving Goldsprings, players can stumble across an open refrigerator containing a skeleton wearing a brown suede hat á la Mr. Jones. While it’s a bit too vague to know for sure, anybody who’s seen the film would know that this can be nothing other than a Crystal Skull reference. The nuclear blast, refrigerator, and the hat are just too much. You can’t mistake this. Check out the screenshot above and form your own conclusion!
