Update: According to a post on the official Facebook page, keys are currently unavailable due to them having been “stolen”. The app has been deactivated and will be restored “ASAP”.

5,000 beta keys for Muse Games’ multiplayer airship combat game Guns of Icarus are being distributed through the game’s official Facebook page, the developer has announced. The game sees up to four players crewing an airship, taking the roles of Captain, Gunner, or Engineer, and then joining a team and fighting against other ships above a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

The game features skill customisation, and players will also bring five distinct pieces of equipment on board, three from their main class, and one from each other class; that means your choice of equipment “will influence the priorities and play style of each ship, so you must work together as a team to wield the right tools for the right situation”.

The keys currently being distributed here are valid for the beta test beginning August 3rd, and will last until the game’s launch in September. The beta is available on both Mac and PC. You can find out more about Guns of Icarus on the game’s official website here.
