Bethesda and Arkane Studios are hard at work on Dishonored in advance of its October 12th release on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3, and appear to have chosen this as the perfect time to announce its cast of voice talent; the likes of Susan Sarandon, Brad Dourif, Carrie Fisher (yes, from Star Wars), Michael Madsen, and Lena Headey have joined the group.
Celebrity voice talent isn’t new ground for Bethesda, who brought Liam Neeson in to voice the father from Fallout 3, but the range of award-winning actors and actresses here is astounding. Susan Sarandon is an Academy Award winner; Brad Dourif has won a Golden Globe; and Carrie Fisher and John Slattery have both been nominated for Emmies.
“Having such talented actors voice Dishonored’s compelling cast of characters adds a rich, powerful element to the game,” said Arkane Studios president, RaphaĆ«l Colantonio. “We want to draw people into this virtual world and make it feel real. This celebrated cast adds wonderful depth and credibility to the overall Dishonored gameplay experience.”
