A Shreveport man has been charged with first-degree murder after gunning down three people he believed to have broken into his girlfriend’s house and stolen his Xbox 360. The three brothers - Jerimiah, Jarquis and Jean Adams - were driving to their home in Keatchie, Louisiana, when Marcus Donté Reed, 33, shot them dead in their Chevy Malibu with what appears to be an assault weapon.
Jerimiah, Jarquis and Jean were aged 20, 18 and 13 respectively. Jean was a student at Youree Drive Middle School and the Caddo Parish school system’s Academic Recovery and Career Discoveries Center, and Jerimiah had graduated from Huntington High School in 2008. No further information on the three is currently available.
Investigators are also looking into reports that there was a fourth victim present, as one witness suggested. “[We] haven’t been able to locate another person or confirm that,” police told Shreveport Times. “However, we haven’t ruled it out.”
