Grand Theft Auto Comes To iPhone

It looks like Rockstar is set to conquer the entire hand-held gaming market with today’s release of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for iPhone and iPod touch, a game already available for the Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable platforms. Retailing for £5.99 on the iTunes App Store and clocking in at a hefty 188 MB download, the game promises to be the most worthwhile iteration of Chinatown Wars yet, with thirty-six five-star ratings from satisfied customers.

If you’re ready to enjoy some law-breaking GTA action for the same price as, uh - I don’t know, three Big Macs? - then head over to the App Store now. Oh, but be aware, you’ll need to have an iPhone or a second generation iPod touch running iPhone OS 3.1 or later to run the game. If you only have a first generation iPod touch, tough, I’m in the same boat as you, and it is a sad, sad boat.
