Devour This Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Screenshot

The first screenshot from Mercury Stream and Kojima Productions’ Castlevania: Lords of Shadow shows off a terrifying winged vampire, sprayed with a fair amount of blood and none too happy. Oh, and in case you’re wondering, no, that’s not Dracula, which opens up plenty of speculation about just how freaky our primary antagonist is going to look.

The screenshot was distributed by David Cox via the game’s official Twitter page, which you can check out here. The game’s release date is still unconfirmed, but expect to hear a little bit more on that front in 2010.
