Intense Speculation On Meet the Spy “Leak” Begins

Valve’s classic Meet the Team machinima series which introduces each Team Fortress 2 class in a witty video has already covered the Heavy, the Engineer, the Scout, and more. The series is not complete, however, and the Meet the Spy video was allegedly “leaked” earlier today. So far the longest of the series and our personal favourite, it features an absolutely brilliant plot subject to lots of intense speculation and some of the best lines in history.

We suggest you watch the video before reading this part of the article. We’re going to take a look at the video, scene by scene, and show you a few things you may have not noticed.


If the Blue Scout really is the Red Spy, then you might be interested as to knowing how the Scout appears to be holding the Sandman?


Of course, it’s doubtful that the Blue Scout is the Red Spy at all at this point, because he seems to be touching the briefcase without capturing it. An extremely observant Kotaku commenter, [a href=”http://kotaku.com/people/AwesomeGamerGirl/[/img]BubbleF**kingBuddy[/a] seems to think use of the Dead Ringer was involved, making the Blue Spy the Red Spy all along, and then backstabbing the Blue Scout and disguising as him after being “killed” by the Blue Soldier. We told you there was some intense speculation, didn’t we?


A sliding sapper? This seems interesting, perhaps over-powered if it is as lethal as the video shows.


And finally… does the Blue Scout’s mother seem to be Pyro height? With the Pyro being revealed as a woman recently (with the evidence quickly removed from the Steam website, suspiciously), could this make Blue Scout the illegitimate son of Red Spy and Blue Pyro?
